I opted not to have one - so did my Wife.

I just don’t trust the government enough to believe that it was ever necessary.

My husband got 1 free at work. My MIL of course always paranoid, asked if our little son was going to get the Swine shot. I said "no".

I don't think it's a big deal. I've never gotten any flu shot of any kind. My mother has and (of course she's got chronic problems for a decade) she often just feels worse for the week after. Ain't worth it to me. Of course, I hope I'm correct.

It just depends on if you get it and how serious you get it. My sister in-law was in an induced coma in IGU for almost 3 weeks and on a respirator and on dialysis because her kidneys were shutting down. She had a feeding tube going to her stomach until last Friday and still has a trach tube even though she was released from ICU last Friday.

After a month she is now at another hospital where she has to under go physical therapy, because she can't even walk., and she still has to have dialysis and she probably won't be going home for Christmas and she was in the coma for Thanksgiving.

She didn't think H1N1 would be all that bad either........ and now, she's lucky to be alive, it nearly killed her.
