Open Call to Congressional Republicans (RINOS)
American Grand Jury ^ | December 13th, 2009 | JB Williams

Posted on 12/14/2009 8:39:39 PM PST by JSDude1

It’s official folks, with the Democrats steamrolling over the GOP filibuster intended to stop another TRILLION in wasteful spending yesterday, Republicans in congress have been handed their hat once again.

Do you republicans not know that you are completely irrelevant? Or do you just not have the spine to take a real stand? Democrats are making asses out of all of you!

This is NOT a game! The future of freedom and liberty hang in the balance and most Americans know it! How did you miss it?

Republican congressional votes have NO meaning today... Congressional Republicans MUST WALK OUT immediately!

You must pack your bags, close your offices, refuse to enter the congressional chambers for one more pretend vote in which the Democrats will hand you your hat once again.

If Republicans want to harness the power of the Tea Party – 912 – and Town Hall patriots across this land, you can do it in three simple steps…

Shut down congress by walking out and refusing to return. Can Democrats even call something to a floor vote without a single republican in the chamber? Would they even dare try it? Return home and spend time listening to angry patriots in as many town hall meetings as you can schedule. You will earn your pay at a town hall, whereas attending another congressional vote is worse than a waste of time. It’s counter-productive. Go home and listen, don’t talk! Grow the backbone to walk away from all of your past mistakes, and line up behind the ONLY people who can put you back in power, the American patriots who stand for a constitutional government and against the current steamroller to socialism.

...to keep doing what you’re doing, which amounts to being a big part of the problem, instead of a part of the solution.

What a dumb ass article! Does'nt the author realize 60 democrats in senate can pass anything they want no matter how loudly the repblicans thump their chests?

The house also has a overwhelming majority of democrats.

Here is an idea...why don't we get rid of all the RINO's and make it a bit easier for the democrats so they won't have to bribe Senator Mary L of Louisiana $300 Million?

Yap those Rino's are costing us real money!

I think leaving would be worst. Instead the Republicans should take a public vow that until they are included in on negotiations IN A MEANINGFUL way, they will vote as a block against every bill.

Better yet, every time Obambi holds one of his Democrats-only meetings, the Republicans ought to gather at the gates of the White House and demand to be included.

What a dumb ass article!

What on over-emotional, petty statement.

JB Williams has it right. The Republicans don't have any power under the normal rules of engagement in Congress. Leaving en masse is the only way for them to exert any power at this critical moment.

It would make a statement so large, that not even the State-Run Media could fail to report on it.

Instead of sitting impotently in Congress, these reps can go back to their districts and tell their constituents that they're with us. We need a revolt, don't you understand that?

Sure, we need to vote the RINOs out, but we're not going to do that before this massive, America-killing bill passes.

We have to something completely outside the bounds of "business as usual" to stop this monstrosity. We need a revolt in Congress.

They're already doing that (for the most part), and it isn't stopping a damn thing. We. Do. Not. Have. The. Votes. Get it?

We're going to lose playing by the normal rules. The Republicans have to do something completely unexpected, and frankly, revolutionary, at this point.

I get it. But there are delaying tactics and other procedural issues. And I liked Tidbit’s idea that every time the Democrats are bused over to the White House or are shut out of a meeting, the Republicans should hold a meeting of their own either outside the White House or Capitol.

I remember when Newt shut down the government and everyone thought that was a swell idea. Well it didn’t work because people thought they were wasting money. It would look BAD for the Republicans to go off on a vacation right now. At least they look like their fighting even though you and I know they can’t do a thing.

Elections have consequences.

The American people in their stupidity have voted into the Senate, 59 Democrats plus the liberal "independent", Lieberman. Add to that they elected an American hating commie as president.

Next time one would think the American people would know better...assuming they get another chance.

The author of this advice is either high, a liberal pretending to be ‘conservative’, or both.

You stay there, you use every parliamentary trick you can to delay, knock down, drag on, etc. etc.

Go and meet with the other tea party folks coming in and rally them.

Keep fighting. Hang together. Then work to get the RINOs out in the 2010 elections and get some more conservatives in there that don’t mind fighting with the democrats.

Leaving is for pussies and they can still conduct business with whatever is left forming a quorum.

They can do anything they want if they have a quorum of 51 votes. They have 60.

If they needed a 2/3rds quorum that would be a good thing to do they do not 51 votes constitutes a quorum.

It would look BAD for the Republicans to go off on a vacation right now.

Vacation? What I said, is that the Republicans need to REVOLT.

Call it going on strike if you want. They can even calculate the time away from DC and have the gov't deduct it from their pay, so no one can accuse them of being paid while not showing up for work.

They would need to get in front of the television cameras and be loud about what they were doing. Statements would have to be made on the floor of the House and Senate, to the effect that the Republicans will not participate in the wholesale dis-figuration of our fundamental way of life.

This is what courageous people do in history-turning moments like this. They throw down the gauntlet and declare war, when being threatened with outright destruction.

They spit in their enemies' faces and fight back. If they will not fight at this critical hour, and with every fiber of their being, then they will not fight at all.
