Boy, this nails the core problem (imo).
One of my favorite verses: Isaiah 2:22 - Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?
To many of us are trusting politicians, government, scientists, etc. etc.
” The Woods’ story has piqued the prurient interests of America and the world. “
‘The Woods’ story has piqued the prurient interests of the Media’
[There - fixed it]
Heard a bit of banter on F&F over the weekend, in which the airheads admitted that better than 70% of their audience didn’t want the Tiger Woods wall-to-wall coverage...
Their response?? “That’s too bad - we’re going to cover it anyway..”
“Yes, we did produce a near perfect Republic but will they
keep it? Or will they, in the enjoyment of plenty, lose the
memory of freedom? Material abundance without character is the path to destruction.”
Thomas Jefferson (on the free market/private property system they tried to leave us and the incredible wealth they knew it would allow us to produce and
what MIGHT happen to us as a result. The familiar vernacular expression today is “Fat, dumb and happy.”)
“A nation of well informed men, who have been taught to know and to prize the rights God has given them, cannot be enslaved. It is in the region of ignorance that tyranny begins.”
Benjamin Franklin
Woods is a manufactured image that bears little relation to reality. He is a walking, breathing lie that has been perpetrated on the public. The MSM and the PGA knew it was a lie, but they continued to support and reinforce it because it was good business. Many people were invested in those lies, i.e., they had something to gain.
It is very similar to the global warming hoax that has been foisted on the American people and the rest of the world. A small group of scientists and world leaders have compired to create this hoax out of various motives. The MSM has aided and abetted them by surpressing the opposition and publicizing false information for a gulible public. The opposition has been demonized and ridiculed.
Tiger Woods is a sinner. Sinning is “missing the mark,” and Tiger has apparently missed the mark of moral behavior at every possible opportunity. But Tiger is not evil. I think that if we can set aside a huge and massive appetite for inappropriate sex, Tiger is in some ways a good man.
As our president said in Oslo, there is evil in the world. He should know, because he embodies much of it. Although we should try as hard as we can to avoid having to kill him, our world will improve quite a lot when he leaves it. It’s great to read that Larrey Anderson has (finally???) recognized that sex scandals are the least of our worries.
True. Many Americans have been absent from the fight of our moral values.
I sum it up in two words:
Commonsense & Patriotism
If we used commonsense we would not be in the pickle we are in and if we elected patriots(those who choose the country first and personal self-interest second) they would find ways to honor the Constitution and do what is best for country.
It’s media centric. THEY are the problem.
