The MSM and the PGA knew it was a lie, but they continued to support and reinforce it because it was good business. Many people were invested in those lies, i.e., they had something to gain.
It is very similar to the global warming hoax that has been foisted on the American people and the rest of the world. A small group of scientists and world leaders have compired to create this hoax out of various motives. The MSM has aided and abetted them by surpressing the opposition and publicizing false information for a gulible public. The opposition has been demonized and ridiculed.

Tiger Woods is only a sports figure who is extremely talented. He has to me, behaved himself with integrity everytime he steps on the course. This infidelity, he’s human just like everyone else. He had a flaw and it was women. The women who went after him (as I believe that was the case) should be met with more scrutiny than Woods. I’m sick of seeing lives ruined because some bimbos want to attach themselves to powerful, rich men, and many of them...married. I wanna see a return to the sanctity of marriage; a respect for it. There lies one of the major problems with America; people don’t respect marriage.
