Uh...Sarah Palin herself, DID state that she could see Russia from her house. Tina Fey followed up with using it on SNL.
Here’s the actual quote:
“They’re our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska.”
It’s true. Part of the state of Alaska is close enough for visual contact with parts of Russia.
I don’t see the words “my house” in there anywhere.
Not that it matters ...
Palin’s actual quote was: “They’re our next-door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska.”
But ...
“I can see Russia from my house” is much easier to remember.
that the real Palin never stated that “I can see Russia from my house,”
