of course the easter uprisings etc are connected to the ira

The Easter Rising has nothing to do with the current IRA as Americans know it. The IRA involved in the Easter Rising was descended from the Irish Volunteers established in response to the Ulster Volunteers. The Ulster Volunteers were established and supported by the British government to prevent home rule (by any means necessary) in Ireland. The IRA of the early 1900s was a legitimate army with over 100,000 soldiers.

The IRA today is a northern Ireland paramilitary group established in 1969. Now I don't agree with their Marxist tendencies or all of their methods, but the fact of the matter is that they are not the same as the IRA from the Easter Rising. This group was established to defend Irish Catholics in the north from the British army and protestant paramilitary groups. Plus, they have renounced violence as a means to achieve their desired goal which is a united Ireland.

the very same British army which is now helping us in out two wars

It's the least they can do after we bailed them out of two world wars. Judging by the numbers of troops and money they have invested, I'd say they are doing the bare minimum.

it’s the least they can do
WHAT??

They have lost many men and women helping us, also it was Britain who stood alone for years before we joined the war and if Pearl harbor had never happened we would not have gone to war I think but that is debatable .

the sumbags were formed and tough todays ira is not the same obviously they have still the same agenda.

what you seem to not understand is that they are a terrorist group.
What you need to ask yourself is do you support a terrorist group which has killed many innocent people with their bombs or maimed even more.

AGAIN
it was the catholics who wanted the Brit army in to protect them and so the army went in,.
The ira saw that there was a threat to their way of money and life.power.

it is not an army , they never have worn any uniform but blend in with the innocents.

If you support these scum bags then right but you’re a small minority over here and over there.

Where did you go over there as I know the area very well?

And your beloved Irish were "neutral" right?

No, you were German opportunists in both wars.

Scumbags.

Keep on lying. You're just digging a deeper hole.

‘It’s the least they can do after we bailed them out of two world wars.’

Yawn, and you have the nerve to criticise others for their ‘bad history’?....

‘Judging by the numbers of troops and money they have invested, I’d say they are doing the bare minimum.’

The real men and women of America, who are fighting abroad, would disagree. Who cares what an ignorant internet warrior like you thinks?.
