Openly gay Houston Mayor-elect Annise Parker, center, celebrates her runoff election
Annise Parker received a B rating from the Texas Conservative Review.
Uh...Are those her conservative girlfriends?

Annise Parker I am not even going to ask how you pronounce that first name in Y'allbonics.

Houston has been in trouble for a long time. The city is little Mexico in 1/3rd of the city. A ghetto in another third. The only place not surrounded by blight is the Memorial area, may it rest in peace.

LOL. What is funny is, Gary Polland—of the Texas Conservative Review—doesn’t let people know how he gives those grades out.
We do have evidence of Annise’s campaign paying so-called “conservatives” to do her bidding.

"Victory shows Houston's diversity Katrina's last laugh... "I would think if the election had been tilted one way or the other by the Katrina refugees that Mr.Locke would have been the winner.

>>> But, for some reason on these threads many Freepers are disappointed that the more conservative candidate won an election. The Freeper world is upside down.
You’re just now noticing ? As the transition from politics into Holy War continues, whoever said Jihadists were sensible. Or even coherent.

Gay mayor-elect: Victory shows Houston's diversityActually, it shows Houston's depravity.
But then, it's just another typical concentrated Democrat parasite nest ("city").
(yawn)
To: trumandogz
Yeah, but the biggest problem with Houston is having to live there.

Talk about choosing between the “lesser of two evils!” Better to write-in or not vote at all!

Youre just now noticing? As the transition from politics into Holy War continues, whoever said Jihadists were sensible. Or even coherent. Oh, I am quite aware of that trend, and love to see the twisting and turning of their cognitive dissonance as they approach such matters.
And by no means is their thought coherent as they in the very same post attack those who would vote for a candidate due to their sexual orientation and then indicate that they would not support a gay candidate for public office.
As for Ms. Parker, she is not a Margaret Thatcher, but she is not a Rosie O'Donnell but rather a moderate Democrat, which is the best Houston can expect.

No, it simply shows that the people of Houston voted for the most fiscally responsible of the two candidates.
Annise has been the City Controller for six years and the last time I checked Houston was in better financial shape than any of the largest cities in the country.
While I do not live in Houston, I do own property there and those properties have continued to appreciate in value throughout the current economic depression.
BTW-How are the property values doing in your city?
What is the unemployment rate in your city?
How many Fortune 500 companies are based in your city?
And what is the sexual orientation of the person who controls your cities' finances?

Talk about choosing between the lesser of two evils! Not all. This was an easy call for Conservatives in Houston and they voted for Parker.

LOL, Bunky, I don’t live in any concentrated Democrat parasite nest (”city”).
I try to stay clear of them.
