Posted on 12/13/2009 6:26:14 AM PST by Oldeconomybuyer

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 23% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -19.

Today is the second straight day that Obama’s Approval Index rating has fallen to a new low. Prior to the past two days, the Approval Index had never fallen below -15 during Obama’s time in office (see trends).

I created a chart showing that since Eisenhower, Obama has the largest presidential approval ratings freefall. Obama has dropped 21 points in 11 months.

It may not be good for us to have a president who is worse than Jimmy Carter. Carter only dropped 14 points in his first 11 months. Obama is making Carter look good.

Here are the approval numbers on inauguration day, the numbers for December, and the change from inauguration day until December for each of the presidents—

IKE 66 60 -6
KENNEDY 72 78 6
NIXON 60 60 0
CARTER 69 55 -14
REAGAN 53 49 -4
BUSH 1 63 70 7
CLINTON 55 55 0
BUSH 2 59 85 26
OBAMA 68 47 -21

The ends of ridding our nation of these vermin justify any means needed as far as I'm concerned.

And THAT needs to be our mantra, our tag line and the stuff we slip into the water supply.

Heartwarming, ain’t it?

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/world/oprah-winfreys-gift-question-tricky-for-barack-and-michelle-obama/story-e6frg6so-1225809955734

Michelle Obama jumped in. “What are you going to get me? You should feel pressure . . .”

Mr Obama shot back: “I have given some good gifts - you get some nice stuff. Here’s the general rule: I give nicer stuff than I get.”

“No way,” declared the first lady. “I gave you good gifts last year.”

“Absolutely! Aw, come on, please,” Mr Obama said, citing the disparity in the Obama household between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. He pointed to a pearl necklace he had given his wife as a wedding anniversary present. Smiling, he said: “Who gave you this?”

“We’re talking about Christmas,” Mrs Obama said. “Don’t become distracted.”

As the banter continued, the President showed he liked having the last word: “But that principle generally applies.”

EXCELLENT! Thanks for posting.

The gap is closing on the "Abyss" metric, (Strongly Disapprove / Just plain old APPROVE in general) down to +4%.

No doubt there will be some fluctuation, but it's really a cheerful thing to see -16 this AM. Maybe people are figuring out that hope n' change doesn't pay for the kids' Christmas .

Just wait 'til January - February.

No comparison. Clinton was relatively likeable and the economy was decent in 94. Image and video hosting by TinyPic 0 by June at this rate of decay.

Hey freepers, I live in liberal Massachusetts and work in a small company. The owner of the company has been coming in the last several weeks loudly grumbling about climategate and “you guys voted for him and all he is doing is redistributing the wealth”. I’m pretty darn sure he voted for the zero himself because quite frankly minus myself and maybe 2 others...this office is typical Massachusetts-lib. I do enjoy sitting at my desk and chuckling, it’s quite gratifying!!! ZEro is well a zero!

Freegards all.
