“I’m having the same problem with Firefox,”

Well, I am now on IE.
I have been using Firefox, which I really like, but may have to give it up. My computer stays online 24/7 but
my Firefox slows to a crawl and becomes useless.
Seems that with every new Firefox upgrade, it gets worse.
I rebooted this morning with only IE7 to see how it goes.
I wish someone could tell me how to fix Firefox, as it is so much nicer then IE.

I think Firefox suffers from memory leakage (i.e. the allocation grows over time until it is in paging territory). Could be Firefox itself or maybe some of the third party add-ons.

When I want to reduce memory usage without losing my place I'll hibernate the computer then resume. The hibernation cycle usually recovers enough wasted memory to get get the apps out of paging.

Add ons kill firefox. You can try disabling them by going to tools, add-ons.

Or, you could try google chrome. Very light and resource friendly.
