The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 25% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -16. Thats the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President (see trends).
The 25% who Strongly Approve matches the lowest level of enthusiasm yet recorded. Thats partly the result of declining enthusiasm among Democrats. While Democrats continue to offer their approval, just 43% Strongly Approve.
Among all voters, 36% now believe that the president is doing a good or an excellent job handling the economy while 45% rate his performance in this area as poor. Seventy-one percent (71%) of Democrats say hes doing a good or excellent job on the economy while 74% of Republicans say poor. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 52% give the President poor marks when it comes to the economy.
On national security matters, 39% rate the presidents performance as good or excellent while 36% say poor. Most voters nationwide lack confidence that NATO will do its part to help in Afghanistan. The Presidents new plan for Afghanistan draws mixed reviews from voters.

Man made disaster, here, on American soil, finishes him.
Bush’s fault. Wonder if any of those congcrooks are wondering about the midterms yet?
Pray for America’s Freedom
Sweet! Now we have to make major changes to Congress next year - elect true conservatives - so they can derail Obama’s Socialism Express. Maybe America is starting to wake up?
Oh - and to those who voted for Obama because they did not like Bush (not many on this forum): How is that Hope and Change working for you?
Yes. I’m waiting for the graphs to be posted, but the 41% “D” has been pretty steady- wavering between 38 and 41 for a while.
His “A” numbers had been steady at about 27-29, so this drop to 25 reflects some attrition there.
House and Senate Republicans sign up for shoe throwing 101 in preparation for the upcoming State of the Union address by -16bambi
That's one hell of a helping of buyers remorse there!
I wonder who will be blamed for that one, Bush again? ; )
Don’t laugh. I have seen conservatives blame Bush for Obama.
That is a brilliant analysis. Seriously brilliant.
I don’t know if failbama would see these numbers as bad, he may even take them as a good thing. I truly believe that failbama has a twisted and warped view of reality. His worldview is this, “You can say and believe wonderful and great things about me, or you can say and believe horrible and rotten things about me, I don’t much give a damn! Because at least your thinking about me.” And in his mind as long as we are thinking about him, good or bad, he has the O.K, to do as he wills. Just a theory of mine.
Im sure the MSM and rat libs thought that just because he didn’t bash America to badly in the peace prize speech he would get his magic back.
I have spoken to people that voted for him that are appalled that they did.
The Bozo-Limbo!! How low can you go!!
Keep in mind that we are in the ‘holiday season’; when people are usually in a more forgiving/generous frame of mind. Ye gads.
Thanks Scanian.
That dichotomy is easy to understand when you realize that it is primarily Republicans who are paying for this disaster in terms of higher taxes, lost jobs, and particularly, bankrupt businesses. It's not surprising that the effects of the recession/depression are disproportionate.
Of those who approve of the Mad Kenyan’s performance I’d love to see the demographics. Are they tax payers or drones? Are they ‘inner city’ or from the burbs? North or South? What is the cultural breakdown? Hmmmmm?
You think this marxist muslim Kenyan is running for a second term? He doesn’t give a crap and the communist congress doesn’t give a crap. It’s full speed ahead to a complete takeover of the free market and control of everybody’s lives. /downer off.
Agreed. Tagline worthy!
...at least they have the guts to admit it. Now THAT would be an interesting poll...'how many regret voting for Barack Obama?'
Yep, let alone when the time comes that the human equivalent is required to actually perform presidential duties and doesn't know how to.
I was wondering, where is "date night" tonight?
