I’m not even a churchgoer. And I see nothing in the owner’s statement telling us that we’re not welcome.

Obviously, something happened on the CREVO threads. I’ve never heard of “Darwin Central” until now, so I googled it. There are some FReepers (or former FReepers) there, and in the old threads I found, including one from four years ago, they’re making personal attacks over there on the people here who believe in creation. They’re also posting criticisms of FR and the people who participate here.

So, it looks like trouble has been brewing for a long time, and we didn’t know about it because we don’t frequent those threads. Obviously, this fight is much more than just a debate about two theories. A group that debates on the side of evolution has been attacking from another website.

I also recognized a name over there of someone who used to post article after article here on FR about race and IQ. I can understand having an open discussion, but so many of those threads weren’t necessary. But, that’s the territory where the theory of evolution leads eventually.

I’ve always accepted the theory of natural selection as fact. I used to think the theory of evolution was just another name for natural selection. It turns out, the theory of evolution takes things further into the wrong direction - toward socialism and eugenics. Is this other group taking things that far? I don’t know.

Anyway, there’s obviously much more to the story here.
