Posted on 12/11/2009 4:48:38 PM PST by Al B.

David Letterman has been all but begging Sarah Palin to grace his couch with a visit, but it’s his competition, Conan O’Brien, being granted the favor of a drop-in from the former vice presidential candidate.

Ms. Palin is scheduled to make a surprise walk-on appearance with Mr. O’Brien on NBC’s “Tonight Show,” which is being taped later Friday evening...

Not much of a surpise if it’s in the NYT is it? Why would any Republican sit down with any of these talk show nitwits?

Considering Letterman's vicious slur of the Palin family I don't know why he doesn't rate a lifetime snub

The audience is not all nitwits, and you can't reach them without showing up in the enemy camp. Besides, do you have any doubt that Sarah can't hold her own against Conan?

Conan O Brien, YUCK, he is the same dufus that made that stupid joke about Sarah being attacked by tomatoes and his idiot audience laughed at it. She should have gone on Leno, Rush went on Leno and had a blast

Todd, not Sarah, should make a surprise walk-on visit to that POS. Say something funny Dave. I have to admit watching Letterman wet his pants like a 2 year old girl would be must see TV!

It's the same as going on Oprah. Sarah needs to get “face time” with people who are not necessarily in her camp. Her appearance on Oprah was a great way to open the “Going Rogue” book signing tour.

There's no better way to change her image with people whose image of Sarah Palin comes from MSM. Besides, it's her way of taking a shot at Letterman.

And after he drop kicks Letterman into the orchestra pit, he follows with the Minnesota tomato thrower.

Put it on PPV and I'd pay a hundred bucks anytime.

Sarah is herself first . A Conservative modern woman who happens (for now ) be a member of the Republican Party . She is fishing well beyond those shallow shores.

I didn’t catch the tomato joke, but that’s good clean fun. Sarah wouldn’t mind that.

What Letterman did is another matter entirely. And then he doubled down on it.

The same with Couric. I don’t think Sarah will be giving her another ratings boost anytime soon.

Remember, Leno was in a hotly-contested ratings war with Letterman when he took over for Carson. Then came the Hugh Grant "What-the-heck-were-you-thinking" interview...Leno took the lead and never looked back.

It would be great if Sarah's appearance on the Tonight Show did the same thing for Conan. I mean, no matter what you think of O'Brien, it would be great to have Letterman left eating dust again.

If you were referring to the joke below, I don't see a problem.

"Yesterday in Minnesota, a man was arrested because he threw two tomatoes at Sarah Palin during a book signing. Security immediately arrested the guy and gave him his own show on MSNBC." –Conan O'Brien

MSNBC was the butt of that joke, not Sarah.

Why send Todd? Sarah is many times over the man that Letterman is.

Considering Letterman's vicious slur of the Palin family

Slurs, plural. And ongoing.

I don't know why he doesn't rate a lifetime snub

He does, but he isn't worth any special attention. He should just be ignored. Sarah has too much to accomplish to waste time on the David Lettermans of the world.
