George Soros, the billionaire left-wing philanthropist and convicted inside trader, joined the caravan of elites at the international climate summit in Copenhagen this week. He used the opportunity to explain that he had a solution to financing the fight against global warming. It would require about $100 billion to pay for projects in the developing world. There was just one barrier: The U.S. Congress.
"It is possible to substantially increase the amount available to fight global warming in the developing world,” he said. “All that is lacking is the political will. Unfortunately the political will will be difficult to gather because of the mere fact that it requires congressional approval in the United States."

I guess they are figuring that all of the ruination they cause will only affect us little people; they will be spared and live like the elites did in the USSR and like the oligarchs live today in Russia.
