AT 3:51 IN THE morning on Dec. 9, 1981, the urgent call went out over the police radio. "All units, assist the officer . . . 1234 Locust Street."
Approximately a minute later, officers from the 6th District found fellow officer Daniel Faulkner, all of 25 years old, face up on the pavement, blood streaming onto the ground from a hole in his back and in his head.
"Notify them he's been shot in the face," another voice somberly reported over the police radio.
Responding officers didn't just find Faulkner lying dead on the ground. They found Billy Cook, hands in the air, exclaiming, "I ain't got nothin' to do with it!"
They also found Cook's brother, Wesley, known as Mumia Abu-Jamal, with a revolver lying beside him - and a bullet from Faulkner's gun in his chest.
It was quite a scene at 13th and Locust 28 years ago yesterday.

Fry Mumia!
Hang Mumia!
Who cares how, but just get it done.
“OFFICER DANNY FAULKNER WAS MURDERED BY MUMIA ABU-JAMAL WHO SHOULDN’T BE IN AN 8’ x 10’ CELL. HE SHOULD BE 6 FEET CLOSER TO HELL!”
Aren’t his appeals pretty much exhausted by now?
Seriously. Take him back to where he was 28 years ago, at 13th and Locust. Give him a chance at an alternate future. Shoot him in the chest again so the circumstances are identical...and leave him there. Free as a dead pigeon.
Fat chance he’ll get executed; this is Pennsylvania, after all....

Found this in WikiPedia: "On April 6, 2009, the United States Supreme Court ruled that Mumia's original conviction of 28 years ago would stand."
Pity we can't reinstate the death penalty he deserves!
I wonder if the anti-death types ever consider that Mumia gave the death penalty to Danny Faulker simply for being a cop and doing his job.
And I'm still waiting for Michael Smerconish to ask Obama what the thinks of Mumia.
“Michael Smerconish”
He’s from the Doylestown, PA area, a lawyer magnet community because it is the county seat of Bucks Co, PA.
His mother was a prominent realtor, and he chose to practice in Philthydelphia, not Doylestown.
He did appear in court at Doylestown, my mother was working there. He was pretty bad in her opinion.
Wonder why he’s a talk show bozo and not a lawyer? Ask someone who has seen him “practice”, because he sure can’t do it. Talk show bozo is a step up for some of these lawyers.
His father was my guidance counselor for three years. He hid most of the time, didn’t have much work the rest of the time. He did grade career reports for one third of the school once a year. He just handed out A’s for most. Talk about a cushy job, all pay little work.
Never knew the c*sucker, thankfully he’s much younger and probably went to the other HS.
