The wives support the men and are equally guilty and bad.

Families are not necessarily innocent

Aside from their attack on Sarah Palin, didn't they also attack Ann Coulter?

They attacked all things and people conservative and were Bush Bashers of the first order. I have been a daily reader of the site for over four years while doing our threads. They were the same as if Daily Kos had been a trade publication.

BTW, I didn’t post this in breaking news - either the mods or Jim Rob did. Can anyone help me here, did E&P and Jim Rob have a run-in with each other back in the early days or something? Did they perhaps weigh in on the early lawsuits against FRee Republic on fair use?

Anyone?

We have GOT to beat the lame stream media. We have GOT to DESTROY it. As long as it lives and breathes we can never return America to sanity and greatness. It is the enemy - even more than the government because it is the government’s weapon to maintain its power.

You are quite correct.

Good news about E & P! You used to read Kirkus Reviews as a byline in any listing of book reviews going back for many decades. I never knew that it was an actual publication.

"Editor & Publisher died today, after a length illness. Reportedly, the self described 'America’s Oldest Journal Covering the Newspaper Industry' succumbed to ink poisoning."

About Time, my friend. LOL

"A 2001 survey of 350 newpapers in six states indicated that copy editors and their supervisors were more likely to read E&P than any other magazine in the journalistic trade press, with 80.6% of copy editors and 90.6% of supervisors reporting that they read it either regularly or occasionally."

What're they going to do, now?
They could listen to Rush, I guess. LOL

"It’s last editor was Greg Mitchell."

I'll be watching for that name to pop up, again.
The quisling don't run "America’s Oldest Journal Covering the Newspaper Industry" into the ground, for nothing.
Promises were made, gifts exchanged, y'know? LOL

Your *first* obituary, abb.
You did good, real good; and, just as well.
I suspect you'll be mighty busy in the coming months writing these things and we all know how practice does make perfect. ;^)

The outpouring of surprise and strong support for E&P that has followed across the Web — Editor & Publisher has even hit #4 as a Twitter trending topic — raises the notion that the publication might yet continue in some form.

You know, this is a TERRIBLE indicator that E&P has a future.

These libs are great at fervently believing in nothing.

I’m going to miss their brain-dead op-eds on the old media malaise — the ones that never, never managed to raise the topic of leftist bias. Sic gloria transit...

Conservatives are often bashed as mean, and there is no need to give liberals ammunition.

Conservatives are only bashed as being “mean” by liberals.

If you want to see “mean” defined, head over to DU and read their comments for just two minutes.

I refuse to play by their rulebook any longer. When you let them define everything, you will always lose.

I love to see cruel jerks suffer at their own hands. That goes for any and all liberal media players.

I suppose you are against shooting in self-defense, too, huh? I mean, after all, you never shoot someone in “love.”

We aren’t conservatives buying up media sites whether web, TV, or print based, and turning them back to true journalism? I’ve never understood how the left could own every single major media outlet. Surely there are plenty of wealthy conservatives who could buy some of these outlets and turn them back from the Dark Side... Even a coalition of conservative business people could get together to buy up some of them, fire all the lefty journalists there and hire some new, young, uncorrupted talent...

when a rabid leftist twit like Greg Mitchell is out of work, that’s a benefit to civilization

but I’d bet large sums that he will quickly “land on his feet” with a cushy salary in academia, where he will propagandize so-called “journalism” students for the rest of his days...... I’m sure that Columbia J-School can find a place for him
