When the Mexicans were marching for amnesty with their Mexican flags (before they got hip and brought out the US flags), my Norwegian friend was surprised they weren’t arrested on the spot. Even in socialistic, take-in-a-lot-of-asylum-seekers Norway, they control on their immigrants. If you don’t belong there, you won’t be there long. The idea of undocumented people protesting in the street was amazing to her. It was a little amazing to me, too. Looked like a target-rich environment for ICE, but no such luck.
