How did we ever get here? We are living a nightmare.
A nightmare is certainly is. One that yields ever increasing doses of horror.
I would suggest that there are a lot of reasons, but underlying them all is essentially that we have been too 'nice', too willing to compromise, too busy with our careers and our families to take a more aggressive role in politics, and too willing to let God be kicked out of our culture by the Left.
The Left has no such desire for compromise and meaningful dialogue. They use a sledgehammer against the culture and, all too often, we only counter this with our graciousness and kindness, which they eagerly take advantage of and use against us.
Retaining our culture requires a continuous fight, and making a living every day and being a good person to those around us oftentimes doesn't leave enough time for fighting.....time that the Left has in abundance.
How? Why...by playing nice with the anything-BUT-nice DemocRATS. That’s how.
By electing liberal-leaning twits like Snake McCain, Snowe, Collins and any number of other RINOs who believe in extending the hand of friendship to the commies across the aisle.
By sitting back and saying nothing, while the Saul Alinsky DemocRat-supporting liberals completely took over our mainstream media.
By sticking our heads in the sand (or elsewhere) while the Saul Alinsky DemocRat liberals inundated our public schools with their leftist ideology and homosexual agenda, which amounts to indoctrination of our kids.... for DECADES.
By not dismantling leftist organizations like the EPA, ACORN and the IRS when we HAD the power, but didn’t have the first clue on how to USE that power.
By allowing our elected “Republican” leaders to get away with NOT closing the border and NOT enforcing the immigration laws already on the books.
By watching the Hollyweird smut and filth get smuttier and filthier every year and not speaking up and speaking out against it.
By allowing umions to become so powerful a lobby that they ended up running the country by electing their Saul Alinsky commie DemocRats to power.
How did we get here? By sheer complacency and apathy.

Then we put down our guns.
