Please stop for a minute and ask yourself a question - Why 47 years? Why not 45 years? Or 50? Or 48?
The answer is that 47 years is the exact number that made Clemmons eligible for parole.

Huckabee granted that even after the violent habitual offender had already had his sentence reduced to 60 years leaving him eligible for parole in 5.
What I’m still trying to find out is if the get-a-way driver for Clemmons in Wash was his “cellie” in Ar. Do we know if Huckabee also pardoned or gave clemency to him?
