Man, this guy Huckabee is the ultimate loser.
This guy is just unbelievable. Glad his ‘true’ nature is showing now.
Whadashmuck!
Gov. Huckabee today: "I don't need to show any heart to the families of the murdered troopers! I'm on Jon Stewart!"
you guys make it sound as if he actually murdered the people himself. THE FILE HE RECEIVED BACK THEN WAS OF A 16 YEAR OLD THIEF AND ROBBER—NOT RAPIST AND MURDERER. How could he have foreseen all this?!
It’s not like this man made the death penalty illegal in his state or something.
Props to Palin for handling the issue so classily.
HE WASN’T 16, HE WAS 17 AND HE WAS ALREADY A CAREER CRIMINAL!! READ THE ARTICLE, QUIT LISTENING TO THE HUCKSTER’S LIES AND LEARN THE TRUTH!
The Huckster, showing true class and sensitivity.
OK, so say he was taken advantage of by idiot libtard review panels. That’s the kind of guy people always said he was - weak and easily manipulable.
And this story isn’t even about that. It’s about MORE bad judgement.
Astonishing
I am not saying I want Huckabee to be President and never saw him as the viable contender the media seemed to want to paint him as. I just don’t think he’s getting a fair shot over THIS particular case. There are plenty of other things wrong OVERALL with his policy views and record. Fair enough.
When I read about the dead officers and their families it broke my heart. Listening to Huckabee’s continual lies about his role in this just makes me want to throw up.
Not sure how you can defend Huckleberry after the release of the letter from the prosecutor warning against his early release decisions, and Huckleberry’s “I laughed out loud when I read your letter” response to same.
Even still bigred08...i think you have to look at the “big picture.”— The perspective a SOUTHERNER + Christian like Huckabee may have.
Simply put, a lot of people with very similar or even records WORSE than Clemmons have gotten/tend to get MUCH MUCH lighter sentences—IF they are white that is.
105 years was excessive for the crimes Clemmons had committed at the time. And he didn’t get sentenced to juvenile hall like most people his age would have—but to regular jail.
Say “wah wah. PC libtard.” all you want.
I am NO softie on crime, but I don’t pretend to think our justice system is perfect.
Hey Chet!
It’s one of those serendipitous moments when we agree.
This was not an isolated incident. Huckabee gave clemency to far more violent criminals than any other governor. Blame the other people involved, but don't say this was just a mistake by Huckabee. This was just a small part of an overall policy by Huckabee to free a great number of violent criminals.
Clemmons = the kind of dog that definitely should be put down.
yes again, he went overboard...but understand where he’s coming from PLEASE. I think he felt obligated to make up for the fact that RACISM—which unfortunately has marked the South to a great degree—has hugely characterized the justice system. Black people get sentenced far worse than white people even for similar or lesser crimes. It’s simple fact that especially before DNA forensics, minorities were FAR more likely to be put to death for crimes they didn’t commit than whites.
It is this disparity that affected Huckabee’s thinking and again, like I said, he went overboard in trying to “make up for it.”
It reminds me of this Amanda Knox case...Even without knowing the facts, the lamestream media is painting her as a saint, but had this girl been black—NOBODY would be coming to her defense, let alone give her coverage.
This particular case is not an isolated incident but part of an overall policy by Huckabee. He freed far more violent criminals than any other governor. Huckabee has continually misrepresented the facts in this case and in others. He has refused to accept responsibility for his actions.
Huckabee has not been treated unfairly. He is not the victim in this.
That’s why they call it executive power. You wave your pen around, and stuff happens. And people rightly hold you responsible.
