yes again, he went overboard...but understand where he’s coming from PLEASE. I think he felt obligated to make up for the fact that RACISM—which unfortunately has marked the South to a great degree—has hugely characterized the justice system. Black people get sentenced far worse than white people even for similar or lesser crimes. It’s simple fact that especially before DNA forensics, minorities were FAR more likely to be put to death for crimes they didn’t commit than whites.

It is this disparity that affected Huckabee’s thinking and again, like I said, he went overboard in trying to “make up for it.”

It reminds me of this Amanda Knox case...Even without knowing the facts, the lamestream media is painting her as a saint, but had this girl been black—NOBODY would be coming to her defense, let alone give her coverage.

This case was not an isolated incident where Huckabee mistakenly tried to undo other racial injustices but just went overboard. It is a small part of a policy of freeing violent criminals. Huckabee freed far more violent criminals than any other governor.
Putting a convicted, violent criminal back into society where he can harm and kill innocent people is a huge risk and a huge responsibility. It should only be undertaken after it has been determined that the person will no longer be a threat to innocent people. Huckabee did none of this. He handed out pardons like he was handing out candy.
And now he tries to slime his way out of taking responsibility for his actions.

YOur last paragraph, dragging in the Amanda Knox case:
frankly, nonsense. “Had this girl been black, NO ONE
would be coming to her defense, let along giving her coverage”. A guy named Rudy Guede, a drifter and erstwhile partyboy-type from the Congo, had his DNA all over everything, including INSIDE Meredith Kercher, and though he
fled the country, and already had a trial, and is imprisoned, he is STILL in effect being given a pass because it offers the World Press oh,so many more opportunities to vent all their hatred and rage against American Amanda Knox. How many people even know the basic facts about Rudy Guede, including you?
