You know what really sucks is that the fallout from incidents like this creates unecessary enmity between blacks and whites.
Sure, the vast majority of whites will be able to employ discernment, but the knuckle-draggers and even not-so-knuckle-draggers will condemn blacks in a more universal manner.

It used to bug me that white people seemed to ridge up when I'd approach them. Even in my professional adult life, I've had to deal with that reaction, which always melts as soon as I begin talking. I've had to be discerning, myself.
