Why the hell not have a plain clothes “sting operation”. Bait the bastards up and nail them.

It'd never fly in this pc-mad country. There would be lawsuits and press conferences by Jackson, Sharpton, etc. flying all over the place.

Your post, “It’d never fly in this pc-mad country. There would be lawsuits and press conferences by Jackson, Sharpton, etc. flying all over the place. “

If that would be the case, then I say bring it on. To do nothing as it seems the Denver PD is doing is just giving in to the thugs. Wimping out in the face of threats gets us nowhere, and never will. These (gang thugs) know only one thing and respect only one thing and that is FORCE. New York city had a huge gang violence problem until the PD there (backed by the mayor and DA) severely reduced the crime element using very much the same tactics....

The history channel has a very informative series called “gangland”.It really gives you a lot of insight into the mentality of ALL different gangs. They cover the whites, blacks, asians, Haitians, latino, etc.I remember one episode in particular about one of the worst black gangs in L.A.,when the police cracked down on them hard, the racsist screaming started. After that, they pretty much had to let the gangs do what they wanted. The police commissioner and mayor were too worried about being P.C.
VERY sad, but VERY true.
