I think Michael Franks wrote a song that fits that picture: “Popsicle Toes”.
You know, as much as I admire Sarah Palin and various other luminaries out there-
I cannot for the life of me contemplate going through that kind of effort to meet someone or get an autograph.
Just sayin, I know it’s important to folks and I love the message it sends to the left.
GREAT studio musicians, too - including Larry Carlton & Joe Sample. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
And when God gave out rhythm He sure was good to you.
You can add, subtract, multiply and divide...By two.
I know today's your birthday, And I did not buy no rose.
But I wrote this song instead and I call it,"Popsicle Toes".
Popsicle toes.
Popsicle toes are always froze.
Popsicle toes. You're so brave to expose all those popsicle toes.
You must have been Miss Pennsylvania with all this pulchritude.
How come you always load your Pentax when I'm in the nude?
We oughta have a birthday party, and you can wear you birthday clothes
We can hit the floor and go explore those Popsicle toes.
You got the nicest North America this sailor ever saw.
I'd like to feel your warm Brazil and touch your Panama
But Your Tierra del Fuegos are nearly always froze.
We gotta see saw until we unthaw those Popsicle toes.
Ha—what a total ‘70s look!
We were driving by Barnes and Noble a couple hours after she had arrived for the signing. There were empty parking places in the parking lot so we decided to stop and see if we could get in. We were allowed into the store to purchase the book. They gave us a wristband and told us to stand in line. We were only in line for about 5 minutes! I couldn’t believe we got in so quickly. It was fun to meet her but I would never have camped out all night!
Security is trying to keep Sarah and her family from being harmed or worse. I think the screening is appropriate, as it would be for an Al Gore book signing.
Chortle!
Chortle!
You must be ANOTHER of those heartless Republican haters.../sarc>
Cheers!
It's a shame, but after reading many of the vitriolic comments from people on the left at CNN, YouTube and the like; I'm not surprised at all. There are a sh*tload of people out there literally consumed by their hatred for the Governor. I don't get it, but that's me.
Very nicely done, sir!
Thanks for sharing this with all of us.
Did you hear about the moron with the tomatoes???
Interesting photo showing Sarah’s wedding ring. When Sarah and Todd eloped all they could afford was a $35.00 wedding ring.
No offense, but training is an element of the law. And anyone trained in responsible handling of a sidearm, would not carry a firearm to a political event like this in a concealed manner. I see your legal point, but its just a bad idea.
While i support our state law here in SC, i would prefer to see an open carry law prevail. Allowing people to carry concealed weapons, has an effect of de-legitimizing the carrying of a firearm or knife. Personally, I am more scared of an idiot with an SUV than a well-trained and well-armed neighbor.
The first time i saw a man with a gun on his hip I was still in diapers. Having descended from South Carolinians and Texans and Tennesseans, firearms are no more menacing than a hammer or a saw.
A gun is no more dangerous than an large pickup truck. Yet, we let idiots and children drive them openly and public. I agree with many of the thinkers like Jefferson, that a democracy will only work when comprised of a moral and descent people. Look around.
Here it comes....
In an earlier post, I mentioned a moron with tomatoes. I was watching the local Fox affiliate a few minutes ago and they were doing their big story on the Palin visit today....
And, yes, some idiot was able to get two tomatoes past enough security to be able to launch them toward the stage.
The Palin’s weren’t fouled by this attack.
However....
A “Police Commander” allegedly caught one of the rosey projectiles, square in the puss.
The attacker was arrested and will be charged.
I will post video clips and a few pictures later but Gov. Palin and Todd were all smiles, ebullient, charming and happy to see every face that came by the table. Lots of the customers were equally bubbly and looked thrilled to meet them. Up close, Gov. P. exudes a radiant grace! No other way to describe it. She and Todd looked refreshed. She is better looking in person and I didn't think it was possible. She glowed, she was friendly and engaging to each person and laughed a lot with each person.
I got my book signed by 1pm. The crowd was friendly, polite and enthusiastic for the opportunity. I must give a special thanks to the Mall of America staff for the way they organized this event. Logistics were smooth all around. They even handed out free bottled water around 9 when most people were in line, waiting. They handed out water and then came back with trash bags to collect any and all trash. The whole MOA staff were courteous, ready to answer any question and they all had smiles on their faces, even the security staff.
I will post a few pictures and some videos later.

It has to be due to extreme fear from the left. What else explains the reactions? The more they carry on, the more we know we’ve got a good candidate in Sarah — though who knows exactly when.
We’re waiting on you, Ralph!!
;-)
You’re a damned liar.
Why would you say that?
