When Amanda Knox returned to the female wing of prison at Capanne, outside Perugia, after her guilty verdict she was comforted by her three cellmates a Roma woman, a Chinese woman and a woman from Kosovo who gave her warm milk and biscuits.
According to Luciano Ghirga, her lawyer, they have facilities to cook together in the cell and watch TV. She is allowed an hour of exercise outside the cell in mornings and afternoons. Her routine will not change now that she is a convicted murderer.
Lawyers say that Knox has also been befriended by the warders, who have checked on her every 15 minutes since she was detained two years ago. According to Edda Mellas, her mother: The inmates and the guards are all taking great care of her.
She also receives regular visits from her lawyers and from the prison chaplain, with whom she reads the Bible. She reads and writes poetry and stories, is allowed books in her cell though she complains that the lighting is poor and plays the guitar and sings. Her performances in court show that while in prison she has acquired fluency in Italian. She is also learning Chinese and German.

Milk & cookies...sounds more like a Swedish prison than an Italian one.

Her jail cell sounds like a college dorm room to me.

Honestly, if this Amanda Knox weighed about 150 pounds more than she does there wouldn't be nearly as much fascination.

Crazy setup even now that she’s been conviced (likely unjustly).

wow 4 people in the same room. this is pretty “inhumane” in general for a “european” prison. usually you can choose between a 2 room or alone. of course you got tv, internet (ecxept they fear that you may use it for criminal activities and a cell phone).
To: Slicksadick
I would like to share my milk and cookies with her.

And with the lack of DNA evidence against her, she probably wouldn’t kill you like some would retort on this thread.

I really don't know what to think of this. How can 3 people get convicted for the same murder.
And if she was a homegrown Italian girl....would we be reading this??
To: rwfromkansas
"Crazy setup even now that shes been conviced (likely unjustly)." I agree with you that she is likely unjustly convicted. However, isn't this a good lesson (for those who will pay attention) in using caution and good judgment in selecting one's associates.
I assume that she probably had a roommate for reasons of economy. But, the moment she realized that things were headed off in the wrong moral direction, she should've bailed out. And, again, this assumes that she is innocent.

To: davisfh
Good points.
And she very well could be guilty.
Regardless, I do think one of the three killed her.
