Okay. How about if Perry runs for her seat in the Senate, and then for President?

She won’t retire.....my guess is when she either gets beat or her numbers look so bad she withdraws she will make some ridiculous statement about how us Texans need her to represent her in the senate and continue until we throw her a$$ out the next time around.

Maybe that would get him out of Texas for awhile, but won’t happen. If he loses the Gov. primary maybe he could appoint himself to the Senate job when she resigns..... lol.

He’s a home boy and won’t be leaving TX, imo.

Unemployed soon”. You are correct. Makes you wonder why she is doing this.

Most of “them” are self-serving, deal making, career criminals who don’t deserve to be re-elected. She most probably has a deal struck somewhere. Congress has become a quite disgusting lot

I understand that Perry could do more. But Texas, as it is at present, is still the Greatest State in America under the current watch of Perry.

Perry’s administration may not be perfect but it is not “that bad”... not bad at all.

Besides, Perry’s overall policies are still consistent with Republicanism and conservatism. Yes, he has raised some taxes in some sectors, but they are still at the “controlled” levels and they are not considered as “legacy” taxes (i.e. impossible to repeal). Such additional taxes were strategic in ensuring a “balanced” budget for the said State ... at times when the overall national economy has been tanking steadily.

As far as I’m concerned, Perry is still the best Governor in America.

Plus, Perry has not yet made a grave blunder, as far as I know.

So to Hutchison’s strategists: Kay’s energy is needed more in the Senate. Stop this nonsense.

Jim Demint maybe backing Williams.....

As for Williams, here's what DeMint's PAC says:

"There are a few Republican candidates running for the seat but Texas Railroad Commissioner Michael Williams (R) stands apart. He's an outstanding, uncompromising conservative. Besides being pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, and pro-traditional marriage, Williams strongly supports efforts to:

Don’t know about elsewhere in the state, but in DFW, a radio ad has been airing in which Dick Cheney can be heard endorsing Hutchison for Texas Governor.

He sounds like he’s reading from a script, and is almost devoid of energy or emotion. It’s pretty creepy.

On the flip side, Rick Perry was endorsed earlier this year by Sarah Palin.

FWIW...

"Hutchison rattled off a familiar list of issues she’s stressing in her campaign: protecting private-property rights, reforming the Texas Department of Transportation, protecting the borders..."

Hutchison personally wrote an amendment to a Senate bill that effectively gutted federal funding for the Border Fence.

On top of that, she's hedging her bets by holding on to her Senate seat while she runs for Governor. Some commitment, eh?

I really do not like this woman.

Perry has his problems that some seem to forget about or don’t want to recall/mention.

Perry’s got his albatrosses. Don’t forget his Executive Order forcing young girls to be vaccinated.

Iwas opposed to mandating the vaccine. But it is a preventative measure. Perry is just a good guy, No, he isn’t the almighty, and doesn’t claim to be. All my family lives right in the middle of Texas, and we will ALL be voting for him.

There's no way KBH is getting my vote for the primary. I love how she she conveniently decided to stay in the senate after the poll numbers showed Perry stomping her. I guess she has no problem forcing me to pay her senate salary while she campaigns around in Texas running for governor.

I flew up to DC in 1995 on a KBH chartered jet to see the republicans sworn in to take over congress. I supported her then. However, she's turned into the typical Washington politician, and sold out when she voted for TARP.

Some seriously bad stuff will have to come out against Perry if she stands a chance in hell of beating him.
