Because we don’t have a playoff, I guess we’ll never know. Maybe the small schools would win, maybe not. The big schools would probably win most of those matchups, but don’t tell that to Georgetown and Villanova. BTW, how did Alabama do in their bowl game vs. a small school last year?

Georgetown and Villanova were in the same conference.

And just for everyones record, since 1995, here are the schools that have won the title, along with the conference:

UCLA (Pac 10)
Kentucky (SEC)
Arizona (Pac 10)
Connecticut (Big East)
Michigan State (Big 10)
Duke (ACC)
Maryland (ACC)
Syracuse (Big East)
North Carolina (ACC)
Florida (SEC)
Kansas (Big 12)

Big East, SEC, ACC, Big 12, and Pac 10. Looks like the BCS conferences win in basketball just like in football.
