Looks like the Democrat “big tent” is caving in a little...

The homos are bent out of shape.

The GOP failed to provide a single "yes" vote when the marriage bill was defeated, 38-24, last week. Good!!!
Hey here's an idea why not leave it to the voters via referendum. Oh can't do that because every time that's been done, even in liberal Oregon it goes down by huge margins.

George Onorato Onorato is my State Senator. He will likely be retiring next time around, as he is in his 80s. The district interestingly enough does have a growing gay population (who are part of the hipster douchebag flood that has occurred over the past five years), and the old timers that were George's base (economically leftist, but center-right on many social issues) are moving to the graveyards. Methinks Gianaris will replace him.

I'm not a fan of "rule by referendum" as the sheeple will often vote us into slavery, and it is an affront to our constitutional Republic. Besides, if you think NY's gun laws are strict now, just see what would happen if we had mobocracy in this state due to referendum.
In a constitutional Republic, it is up to the people to put pressure on their legislators to defeat noxious legislation.

"We're going to use every single weapon in our quiver to take these people out. We either need to replace them or scare the hell out of them so they do the right thing." If I've said it once, I've said it a million times. They should be put back in the mental institutions. They never should have been let out in the first place. There's something seriously wrong with these people.
No one wants anything to do with their vile fetish. That's just the way it is.
To: NYer
I hope they do nominate pro-gay nutbags. The GOP will easily retake the Senate if they do. Catholic and immigrant communities in Queens and Brooklyn do NOT want SSM.

“We’re going to use every single weapon in our quiver to take these people out.”
Why does this sound incredibly icky? Like, “Put your weapon back in your pants and go quiver somewhere else, before I call a cop!”

Hey here's an idea why not leave it to the voters via referendum. That would be too democratic. ;-)

They can keep dreaming.
When it comes down to it, minority voters don't much cotton to the sodomy deathstyle and if given a chance, will vote it down every time.

When it comes down to it, minority voters don't much cotton to the sodomy deathstyle and if given a chance, will vote it down every time. Gays could raise all the money they want at their "tea parties/dances" and have everyone in Manhattan, and parts of Brooklyn (Williamsburg and Park Slope come to mind) tell them how "fabulous" they are. Darnell Jackson in St. Albans and South Jamaica, and Jose Beltran in Corona or Jackson Heights ain't buying it, however.
The gays have a "people of color"/ethnic issue that they are too scare to address publicly.

"It's going to be a bloodbath," one gay operative predicted. Hate Crime? Oooops! No, that's only if we say that towards them.

The gays think they own the Democrat Party. So does George Soros. And the welfare queens. And the racial greivance gimme lobby. And the no nukes kooks. And the Islamofacists, who may vote with gays but would sooner murder them.
This is exactly what happens when too many log cabins crowd into one big tent.

In reality just a few bad apple gays are pushing for marriage. The majority don’t think it’s a good idea.

In reality just a few bad apple gays are pushing for marriage. The majority dont think its a good idea. Here in New York, that is not the case. Even though most gays in the area don't have any intention to get married (this has been shown in polls), they view the marriage vote as another step toward full civil rights.
