To: TomGuy Rush was wailing about this 3rd party movement and saying what a mistake it was. He was almost pleading for conservatives to not abandon the GOP. I have no qualms about abandoning the GOP, I will not throw a half hearted vote for a McCain, I will vote my principles results be damned.
Rush is right. You will gain nothing from a 3rd party except more consolidated Democrat control of all three branches of the Federal Government and state government as well.
Is that really what you want?

You don't demand the majority side with the minority...
IF we lose to the Democrats, it will be the fault of the GOP and those who support it...

Rush doesn't even like independents calling themselves Independents. He sees only a 2-party system. At least, he did when he was 'carrying water for the GOP'.
Sorry, Rush, this is America and people can vote however they choose. They can even go fishing on election day, if that is their choice.
Only tradition had cemented the 2-party system. And the 2-party system has enacted rules and laws that make it extremenly difficult for a viable third party. And that 2-party cabal has made it almost impossible to unseat incumbents. Those two parties are working for their own self interest, not the interest of the general voters.

The GOP policy once you get past the emotional on camera wedge issues they use to seduce conservatives (united opposition to Obama stimulus and health care) is to get along with the Democrats when the cameras aren’t on them.
The GOP members like the 10 Senators who helped advance a radical left wing judicial nominee (Lamar Alexander and Kay Bailey Hutchinson among them).
My GOP congressman (Todd Platts) who voted for Jack Murtha’s pork so he could get a share for his district.
