Hasidic Jews, to my knowledge, have never blown innocent Americans to bits using planes and/or explosives. I can't recall a single incident where a Hasidic Jew shot anyone either.

You can always find one. Baruch Goldstein comes to mind. But certainly it doesn't make much sense to fear Hasidic Jews. Islamic Swine are another matter for sure. The real issue here though is whether five of them talking to each other is prima facie evidence of wrongdoing. If it were up to me, I would have interned all these folks a little more than eight years and then decided what to do with them according to whether it could reasonably be determined whether they were loyal to Islam or to the United States and falling toward the former when it was difficult to determine. I'm not one of those who thinks the internment of the Japanese was wrong. What was wrong is that we screwed the ones who were US Citizens and were willing to declare their loyalty to the US along with the ones who were not.
