WASHINGTON, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- President Obama prepared to rally Senate Democrats Sunday on a healthcare bill bogged down by abortion, a public option and a Medicare panel, officials said.
Obama was to meet with Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and other Senators in a rare Sunday session ahead of possible debate Monday on key amendments.
Conservative Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., has threatened to filibuster reform legislation unless it contains restrictions on abortion coverage and the Senate has yet to find common ground on a government-run public option for health insurance.
Also up for discussion is the scope of an independent Medicare Advisory Board, which would have the power to rein in Medicare spending if costs continue to rise after 2014, the Washington Post reported Sunday.

That's the best formulation of Republican Stupidity on Healthcare that I've seen to date.
I say irrelevant because, if this bill passes, they’ll add on abortion coverage at a later time, as an amendment to some other bill that passes in the dark of night.They won't even have to do that. The first hag-witch who wants to get paid to slaughter her unborn and is denied the green-stuff will run straight to a judge who will straight-away restore her "rights".
I would wager that the "other Senators" are the reluctant democrats receiving the thumb-vice "persuasion." Just can't wait another day.

35% public support of this bill. That means, “Hurry up and pass it. QUICK!” And do it “in secret” on the weekends when no one watches the news!
He’s been to church twice. Easter(MO looked madder than a wet hen) and a month or so ago for a photo op with the family. That’s it! He can’t go to the mosque until he does his big “I am converting, I’m now a Muslim like my sister, she talked me into it” speech.
This “administration” & anyone who is secretly planning and discussing obamaCare against the will of the People will lose in the end. They will be voted out and will never see this monstrous bill ever enacted or implemented across all 50 States. It is UNimplementable, no matter how secretly the libs hide away and plan it.
