It’s more believable that an insider leaked the files. However, if it really was the Russians, then God bless Russia! How ironic that American capitalism might be saved by former Soviets.

It's much more likely that Dr. Jones himself kept a collection of those emails on the Rusian server.
He simply thought it was "safe". He was as wrong about internet security as he is about Global Warming.
