A spokesman for U.S. Sen. Max Baucus says the Montana Democrat was in a romantic relationship with the woman he nominated for U.S. attorney.
Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus was already involved with his girlfriend and former staffer when he recommended her earlier this year to become the next U.S. attorney for Montana, a spokesman said.
The Montana Democrat and his former state office director Melodee Hanes began their relationship in the summer of 2008, after Baucus separated from his wife, Ty Matsdorf told The Associated Press late Friday.
Baucus nominated Hanes for the U.S. attorney post in Montana in March. But she later withdrew, saying she had been presented with other opportunities she couldn't pass up.

Embroidered on panties, underneath: "Tiger Woods Was Here." ;)
He did all this while she was on his staff?
democrats are masters at presenting a nice smiling face while stealing your wallet, freedom & country.
Yes.
They rod and they staff, they comfort me...
I will absolutely, positively be banned -- instantaneously and forever -- if I answer that question the way I want to answer it. ;)
I'm actually surprised that he likes women.
Yeah - butI can infer enough to enjoy the pun.
That was my first thought, too......
LOL!!!
The bigger story here, if anyone is brave enough to investigate it, is whether someone within the Obama administration, the DNC, or some other Communist group had attempted to blackmail Baucus over this “tidbit” in order to convince him to get back in line with their Marxist-Socialist agenda...

Baucus has come under fire from critics calling him a beltway insider who no longer really lives in Montana and only occasionally comes to visit.[47] Until 1991, Baucus owned a house in Missoula, where he practiced law for three years before running for Congress in 1974. He didn’t own a home again in Montana until February 2002, when he bought half of his mother’s house from the Sieben Ranch Company, the ranch started by Baucus’s great-grandfather in 1897. The ranch company, and Baucus’s mother, still own the other half of the house. Baucus has owned a home in Washington, D.C.’s upscale Georgetown district since 1984. As of November 2007, the Missoulian newspaper reported he owned no other property in Montana.
In April 2009, The Associated Press reported that Baucus and his wife, the former Wanda Minge, are divorcing after 25 years of marriage and have “parted ways amicably and with mutual respect.”[48]. Starting in 2008, Baucus had been carrying on an affair with his state office director, Melodee Hanes, who he later nominated to be U.S. Attorney in Montana.[49] Hanes later withdrew her nomination when the conflict of interest became known, though she and Baucus are still involved.

How do you say “dysfunctional” humans? Isn’t there something illegal about these antics? These “public servants” never cease to amaze me.
The rumor going around Helena and Missoula back then was that Wanda liked her vodka and her Vicodin.
“He did all this while she was on his staff?”
Talk about multitasking! Clinton only managed to talk on the phone.
The democrats have figured out that to ‘get rid of Red States’ all they have to do is take over the AG office and the Sec’y of State office....gives them the election edge they need.

More like his wife found out about the affair in the spring of 2008 and asked for a divorce that was granted in summer of 2008. Lying scumbag.
