Clemmons repeatedly slipped through the cracks (State of WA has blood on its hands also)
Seattle Times ^ | 12/4/09

Last April, a Department of Corrections officer was watching a television news story about a series of armed robberies around Puget Sound when he saw a Pierce County Crime Stoppers sketch that bore a striking similarity to a man he'd once monitored — Maurice Clemmons.

The officer passed on the tip to Clemmons' current supervising officer, who called Crime Stoppers. Yet, somehow, the tip didn't filter down to all the detectives working the cases.

A Crime Stoppers operator told the officer that they had "received too many tips/leads already," according to the second DOC officer's notes. Crime Stoppers "refused to take any more tips from the DOC."

"That doesn't make any sense," counters Lauren Wallin, a Pierce County Sheriff's analyst who coordinates the Crime Stoppers program. "We take all tips that come in unless a suspect is apprehended."

Whatever happened, it wasn't the only time that Clemmons slipped through the cracks of criminal investigations after moving here from Arkansas in 2004

Anyone getting tired of the same old lame excuse “slipped through the cracks”? Liberals and RHINOS doing thier best to help these creatures terrorize Americans for a vote. It is time we get some hangin judges in America and prosecute the helpers and supporters who circumvent the laws allowing thier release.

One interesting thing I read on an earlier thread about this was that the people who are being charged for having protected Clemmons include not only his family members, but a man he served time with in AR.

Apparently the latter guy was waiting outside the coffee shop and was the getaway driver. This means that the attack was planned and not just by Clemmons alone.

So there were two AR paroled felons (why to WA? family?) involved in this.

Based on my knowledge of Washington laws and cases, the state is going to have huge financial liabilities to the families of the victims in this case.

Would be surprised if it is less than $5-10 million per officer’s family.

Just found out a few days ago this guy is from my hometown in Arkansas. He’s from the same town the guy was from who killed the L.R. reporter. That little town is puttin’ out some crud! My sister and her kids are the only family left there.

I would not call it “cracks.” More like a sive or a revolving door. Pretty soon, the only safe place to be will be in prison.

Socialism is its own punishment. It’s a horrible waste when innocent people die violently due to the inability of liberals to understand that sociopaths cannot be “rehabilitated”, that the only protection we have against sociopaths is to keep them away from us. Our entire criminal law system is based on liberal lies. A sociopath has no gratitude toward those who show mercy. He considers them stupid fools for letting him go. The chief culprit in these tragedies are the judges who release these animals to prey upon us. Lawyers cannot be trusted to protect us, because lawyers are semi-sociopaths themselves.
