I also wanted those of you who remember my James, to let you know that today, we had to do the right thing and the hardest thing, and it turned out to the same thing. Here he is my sweet boy on a Christmas past....

I’m so sorry; I’ve been there and the only thing I can say is I’m glad James was with his trusted & loved person(s) at the end. At some point you won’t be crying every day and the house & bed won’t seem so empty; but for now, please take good care of yourself and take comfort in all the awesome memories you have and in the fact that James is playing (chasing something?) in the Happy Hunting Grounds, probably making God & all the other dogs up there (including my first dog!) smile.
