First of all my apologies for being so late to post the monthly Sanity Island. I got started late and and that put me behind
Its almost 11 month since President Bush has left office. There goes no day by that I wished he were still in the White House. No matter though he is still my President and will always be as long as I live.
Today I will post photos from December 2001 and 2002, and tomorrow from 2003 and 2004
For the quote of the day I have chosen the address President Bush gave to the Marines at Camp Pendelton on December 4, 2004. I will only post the first two paragraphs and will post the link to the entire address
President George W. Bush and Laura Bush host a Christmas reception for children of deployed military personnel at the White House Monday, Dec. 8, 2003. A variety of activities were held for the children, including a performance of selected scenes from The Nutcracker and a visit by Santa Claus. White House photo by Eric Draper

President Thanks Military Personnel and Families For Serving Our Country
THE PRESIDENT: Thank you all. (Applause.) Thank you for the warm welcome. It was getting a little quiet back at the White House. (Laughter.) So I decided to drop in on the Devil Dogs. (Applause.) Thank you for coming out to say hello. I've been looking forward to this for quite a while it's a pleasure to be with so many squared-away, gung-ho United States Marines. (Applause.)
I'm here to thank you for serving our country in a time when we need you. In a season where Americans stop to count their blessings, I want you to know one of America's greatest blessings is the men and women who wear our nation's uniform. (Applause.) And many of you are blessed by having a husband or wife, or a son and daughter who stand with you during this time of sacrifice. Our nation is blessed because of our military families. (Applause.) Your fellow citizens are proud of you, and so is your Commander-in-Chief. (Applause.)

Please wait for the all clear before posting or reposting any photos or graphics
What are the chances that the Obozo will spend his Christmas Eve talking to our military rather than out partying with MichelleMaBelle. I do miss Pres. Bush.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, dear Kaslin! :-)
I too miss President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush. First class act. Thanks for keeping up the monthly post
I find it comforting to see these photos of Pres. and Mrs. Bush. I find it concerning and scary to see photos or Pres. and Mrs. Obama. Things seem so uncertain and foreign - as though this current president truly has no idea what is going on. As for Mrs. Obama, what is her calling? Unlike every other First Lady, why is she not out there promoting a positive agenda such as supporting military families, reading/education, charities, etc?
A close family friend lost his job today; he is devastated. I don’t see things getting much better anytime soon.
Thank you so much for doing this! It lifts my spirits like you wouldn’t believe!

I have looked at the 0bama White Hose site and have not found any Christmas photos
You are very welcome :-)

Saw a bumper sticker the other day that simply said: ‘I miss W’. I want one too! God Bless GW and his whole family!
That is nice Kaslin, seeing those pictures reminds me of how calm things were when GWB was CIC and President.
And I sort of miss the annual “A Barney Christmas” videos.
There are more and more people who are missing President Bush and we predicted this
Whatever the 0bamas do for Christmas will be strictly for show.
There will be no Joy and Good Will in the White House as long as they infest the place.

Thank you...:)
