If this had been a White man who made real or fake threats, the penalty would be 100 times more severe than that.
He tried to promote his racist cause by pretending to be a White man and then get Whites blamed for fake racism and thus get stronger “hate crime” laws passed.
Anyone who falsely accuses someone of a crime, must get the same penalty as the innocent person would have gotten.

I am sure that Jesse and Al are saddened. Jesse tried to stir up Mississippians with the incident where the student committed suicide with his belt and Jesse tried to say it was a lynching. This guy will end up on Obama’s staff for his radical out of the box thinking.
