The original $787 billion Stimulus was sold as a jobs bill. Today President Obama will host a "Jobs Summit" and Congress is moving towards passing a second stimulus package. But the first stimulus bill did not work, and there is little reason to believe that a second round will be any more successful.
During his weekly radio address on January 10, 2009, Obama promised that the economic stimulus' No. 1 goal was to create 3 to 4 million new jobs over the next two years: "Our first job is to put people back to work . . . ." He repeated this promise many times. Take his first press conference as president on February 10th, he reiterated the point: "I think my initial measure of success is creating or saving 4 million jobs. That's bottom line number one."
The administration made specific predictions about unemployment. For instance, on February 28th, 11 days after the stimulus bill passed, the Obama administration predicted that the national unemployment rate was going to average 8.1 percent this year and then decline to an average of 7.9 percent next year (see Table S-8). . . .

Black unemployment rate is skyrocketing under the 0bama administration. I ask all African Americans the following question.
Do you believe the 0bama job summit will do you any good, or do you believe that 0bama is being exposed as a FRAUD?
As long as unemployment is extended, food stamps are more readily available, SS disability is liberalized, AFDC is enlarged... why should they give a s%it ?
Immediately rebuild our military infrastucture. Make HumVees, rifles, bombs, ammo electronics, night vision, etc.
Immediate employment for the raw material producers, suppliers, fabricators, assemblers.
Made too many? Good, store them in shrink wrap until needed.
We don’t need any more studies about cow farts, snaildarters, etc.
Put people to work on needed infrastructure!
There are ten job openings in the help wanted section of my local paper. I can’t remember a time when there was so few job openings.
It's not even intended to be a secret. The first "stimulus" worked as designed, the greatest case of grand theft in the history of the world, as corrupt liberals transferred hundreds of billions of our tax dollars to the pockets of the unions and other big donors. The second "stimulus" would be exactly the same and equally successful. No jobs were created, but no one really expected jobs to come from the massive corruption.
Personally, for the first time in my life, I might be okay with defaulting on parts of the national debt. Any person who buys government bonds and T-Bills knowing that the money is being wasted and that the feds don't have enough to pay it back deserves to lose their money. I'd also be okay with following the money and going after anyone who received the stolen money. We're talking $1.7T, which is real money, and I'd love to get it back rather than leaving it as a debt to be paid by our children.
As a columnist stated....I drove to work and back home in a day without incident. How many accidents did I prevent or ‘save?’

Quite simple - the old adage - with money comes power. Hundreds of Billions of dollars will buy quite a bit of power.
Couple this with the massive forced power-grab represented by the "Cap and Trade Tax" bill.
Couple this with the power-grab of "Health Care" legislation...
And we see an unprecedented push for powers never before seen in the USA, and only seen around the world by emergent dictators and regimes.
Remember the administration's statement not-so-long ago: “Never let a serious crisis go to waste …”
An you had better believe that they will take ANY crisis they can generate to have an excuse to grab ever more power.
Think about it - it is in the best interest of the current administration and their liberal minions that the economy fail. More unemployed means more uninsured. More uninsured means more support for government taking over the system.
The administration WANTS Global warming to be a fact, and will do all they can to cover up any evidence to the contrary... because brainwashing the masses to believe that man causes global warming, brings support for their agenda to grab even more power through such legislation.
All of those shovel-ready jobs touted have been filled by the White House spinners, in spreading all of the BS about jobs created and saved.
