Obama's Quickie

Counterinsurgency is a marathon, but President Obama wants to sprint. The most troubling aspect of Mr. Obama's strategy for Afghanistan is the cramped timeline for his surge. He wants a quick in and out. The 30,000 new troops he is sending as reinforcements will be rushed into theater in the spring of 2010, and the drawdown will commence in July 2011. The message to Afghans is that this president lacks the will to sustain the fight.

"The 30,000 new troops he is sending as reinforcements will be rushed into theater in the spring of 2010, and the drawdown will commence in July 2011. "

Is this really what his "advisors" have been telling him for the past 90 days of stalling?

Did General McKrystal ask to "borrow" 40,000 troops for about 18 months, or did he want that many permanent troop to secure victory?

The kenyan is about to go over the line insofar as keeping his oath to "...protect and defend the Constitution of the United States...".

He apologized and bowed to every two-bit leader and dicatator he can find, ruined the economy, stacked up our debt for the next 6 generations, and now he is setting up victory for the taliban.

What's next? Wait, strike that...WHAT'S LEFT would be a better question.

I wise every cadet at West Point had stood up and showed him their backs the other night...of course, their commander had ordered them to "applaud enthusiastically" for the commander-in-CHEEK.

Why doesn't this man do anything right...everything he does seems to be "A***-Engineered" as a get-by fix to stall until he gets his other ducks in a row.

It’s totally stalling. Triangulation. All based on domestic politics, not what is needed to win.
