I thought Obama was the enemy, why the vitriol against Romney.

Shouldn’t we be focusing our efforts against the dems. All this is going to do is drive people away from this site. The creationist kooks are doing that already. Also, I’ve seen some very mean anti-Mormon posts and threads on here.

Oh, well. We can’t be all things to all people. I’d rather be right than popular.

No to abortion! No to homosexual marriage! No to gun grabbers! No to socialism! No to government healthcare! No to RINOS! No to Romney!

irony - from post 285

I have to agree with that other poster that your posts are the most reasonable and sensible on the thread. You present a good argument without being hysterical or abusive. Good job.

from post 298

If you can’t decipher the difference between universal coverage and government run health care, that’s your problem.

not to be disrespectful - but this pops up two of your posts

However, as with most things, it is not always that simple.

reminds me of kerry's nuance line

Your position on abortion — and mine — for example, is to limit the “liberty” of the woman seeking the abortion, and to have the government insert itself into the matter.

i think you are missing the reason why pro life people are pro life - they see it as murder - and they certainly have no problem with government taking the liberty of a murderer

Would you do away with laws requiring people to buy car insurance? That’s a mandate, too, and somewhat analogous to the mandate to purchase health insurance.

not really - as jim pointed out, driving on public roads is not a right - its a privilege - the insurance that is mandatory covers damages to other drivers - not damages you cause to yourself or your vehicle

Do you think you could get even a majority of conservatives to agree that hospitals should be able to turn away people? I really don’t.

your earlier list of options for covering those without healthcare missed one - garnishment

The pro-life belief is: there either is life, which is sacred, or there isn't. No margins.

So let me get this straight, you are on a Conservative site, indeed the primer conservative site, advocating the idea that some people (Creationist and those who have issues with MormonISM) should be silenced and wanting folks to back off of the socialist enablers of the left in the GOP and concentrate solely on the Dems despite the fact we can easily fight both and very much need to do so.

Ok.

All this is going to do is drive people away from this site.

Works for me.

Why would folks with an agenda different than JR even WANT to stay around here?

To screw it up just as RINOs have RUINED the Republican Party?

No Trojan Horse riders need apply...

Vote against the RINO in the Primary and bash him all you until then.

But after that, in the run-up to the General election, shut up and vote against the Liberal (i.e. commie pinko fellow traveler).

Hell, even a gun-grabbing, pro-gay, pro-abortion Rudy Guliani would probably be preferable to Barack Hussein Obama. He's already left us a nasty legacy in Judge Sotomayor.

Flying Inman ping. Hey guys, looks like everything is OUR fault.

And FYI, Wacko, 99 percent of the “anti-mormonISM” threads are quotes from their own sources.

Well, Wacka........anti-Mormon, what is said about ldsers is I would venture to say 99.8% direct quotes from their own writings / speeches, another 0.1% for personal experience. Really hardly anti-ldser is it, just the truth.

And things don't get nasty until the LDSers start with their little arrogant holier than though act while dodging the issue with creative obfuscation.

That has to be exposed so it does not pass as fact.

They really don't like that, they want folks to “take their word for it’ that they are right and being reasonable.

Shouldn’t we be focusing our efforts against the dems.

Hey, the wrong (R) candidate equates to caving to the dems.

Example: When Mitt was age 30, he was a tithing member of a church that denied blacks being a priestholder in his church on the sheer basis of skin color. Now how's that ANY different than a candidate who throughout his 20s was a member of a racist private club, of whom the candidate gave a lot of $ to?

And now some want to pit this candidate against the likes of Obama? With an MSM that would only relish making the 2012 election a referendum on racism? (They wanted it in 2008, but didn't get it).

All this is going to do is drive people away from this site.

And what will be the result of Republicans putting a wealthy country-club candidate whose church openly dissed blacks for the first 30 years of his life with nary an objection from him? It'll do more than "drive people away from" a Web site! It'll drive people away from the very party!!!

The creationist kooks are doing that already.

Let me get this straight: You want to unite against the dems...and one of your first suggestions on how we do that, is to call people who believe in a creator-God, "kooks." Are you for real? You chastise others for lack of unity, and then the first words out of your mouth are meant to divide. (Sorry, but there goes any credence factor in ANYTHING you say)
