I’m not making any excuses for I too have seen welfare checks issued to people who are current “guests of the county.”
The point I was trying to make was that the Dems (RINO’s too) are using government hand-outs to keep people indebted to big government. It’s the old addage, give a person a fish and he will eat for a day, teach a person to fish and he will eat for a lifetime. The Dems policy is to give everyone the fish. BUT, again, someone has to pay for the fish and the Democrat answer is to tax the “rich.”
Well the rich are awfully stupid since they support Democrat candidates and then still get taxed. At what point do they realize the hand in their pocket isn’t theirs?
And in reference to the speech, how can any serious person accept the notion that we are telling the enemy that we are going to ramp-up the troops and then 18 months later we are pulling them out. Why send them then?
“And in reference to the speech, how can any serious person accept the notion that we are telling the enemy that we are going to ramp-up the troops and then 18 months later we are pulling them out. Why send them then?”
Presumably they hope to buy enough momentum in 18 months that we can shift the balance of power and put the Taliban on a downhill slide.
However, if we just “squeeze the balloon” and shove the Taliban out of District X into District Y, and then push them from District Y to District A, we’ll just be running around in circles while the enemy waits us out.
Didn’t Sun Tzu say something like “When your enemy is strong, retreat. When your enemy tires, harass. When your enemy is exhausted, attack”? We’ve basically labeled our exhaustion point. The question is whether the Taliban can afford to do little-to-nothing for 18 months without becoming irrelevant.
I agree with that. Obama is going to get better people than he is killed for no reason much like Lyndon Johnson an MacNamera did. And their lily white asses are never in danger.
