Canada's image lies in tatters.
The Guardian (UK) ^ | November 30, 2009 | George Monbiot

Posted on 12/01/2009 12:02:37 PM PST by caveat emptor

When you think of Canada, which qualities come to mind? The world's peacekeeper, the friendly nation, a liberal counterweight to the harsher pieties of its southern neighbour, decent, civilised, fair, well-governed? Think again. This country's government is now behaving with all the sophistication of a chimpanzee's tea party. So amazingly destructive has Canada become, and so insistent have my Canadian friends been that I weigh into this fight, that I've broken my self-imposed ban on flying and come to Toronto.

It was in good fun, I like Canada.
Hey you have a more Conservative goberment then we do. The fact that you've drawn the ire of the climate change frauds means you’re doing something right. Our Clown in Chief actually believes the sky is falling, and that we are the cause of it. You drill for your own oil and gas, our currency is about par with yours. The only thing we got on you right now, is that we haven't ruined our health care system...yet.

Here is something else that the warming fanatics don’t realize. If global warming exists, Canada benefits. Our growing season will expand and our energy use will decrease. Either way, we win.

George says “The burning of aircraft fuel has a “radiative forcing ratio” of around 2.7(11). What this means is that the total warming effect of aircraft emissions is 2.7 times as great as the effect of the carbon dioxide alone. The water vapour they produce forms ice crystals in the upper troposphere (vapour trails and cirrus clouds) which trap the earth’s heat. According to calculations by the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, if you added the two effects together (it urges some caution as they are not directly comparable), aviation’s emissions alone would exceed the government’s target for the country’s entire output of greenhouse gases in 2050 by around 134%(12).”end of quote

So George Monbiot flies to Toronto . To do WHAT?

I’ll drive down and meet him at his pleasure. So he can kiss my Royal Canadian Arse.

The appropriately named George “Moonbat” spewing his putting his deranged mind on full display in the most stupid newspaper the British have ever produced. So what's new?
GO CANADA! Kill that fraudulent climate deal.

After all these years, I finally understand what a “hoser” really is.

Down here in Montana, the author would probably be described as “coyote job”, then left out for the winter to play at becoming a fencepost.

Canada’s image looks pretty sparkly and shiney to me right now.

When you think of Britain, certain qualities come to mind...

one of them being a propensity to produce mincing lordly chinless posturing twits.

Monbiot appears to be one of this not uncommon breed.

Why would somebody go to Toronto to report on Alberta? This
makes no sense at all, except perhaps to the diseased liberal mind.

Good question. Here's more info about the trip.
