As I’ve said before, it has to be something in his personal life, as with Andrew Sullivan and David Brock. No one makes such an instant 180 degree shift in his political opinions without an ulterior, highly personal reason.

Johnson’s low point, I think, is his insane ranting about “climate change denialism.” For someone who claims that fundamentalism is The Devil, he sounds quite fundamentalist on this issue.

Good points. I’ll just add that half of the babies that pro-lifers want to save are future women.

4. Support for anti-science bad craziness (see: creationism, climate change denialism, Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, James Inhofe, etc.)

Yea. Those "climate change deniers" are really looking like the anti-science ones these days, aren't they, Charles? And isn't it a bit ironic in a rant about how religious people bother you to be throwing the word "denial" around? Are we talking science or dogma here?

The clown, Charles Johnson, like several others here, that try to hide it, has always been a lefty libertarian.

At the end of the article is a request for donations. How about if we take up a collection for a new brain?

Bottom line is that the man obviously has issues between him and God.

I can’t remember the last time I posted or even visited there or at Lucianne Goldberg’s. I found a home right here.

The hilarious part about it is they caught his sycophants Kilgore Trout (who went from a “troll” on LGF, I saw it happen, to a ‘trusted’ member of his inner circle) and Sharmuta going on HotAir and posting outrageous statements in order to set HA and other sites up for this label.

It’s been a long time coming, from LGF’s fixation on “fascist” groups in Europe to paying far more attention to creationism (hardly an existential threat) than jihadism in the last couple of years.

Charles Johnson duped a hell of a lot of people but I think some of that came from his disputes with more hardcore anti-jihadists. He let the personal conflicts build resentment until he basically goes way off the deep end.

Not in any universe of “lefty libertarianism” I’ve heard of. Johnson, unlike libertarians, has always loved war and Wilsonianism. That seems to be constant in his philosophy.

No honest, rational person goes and does an Arianna Huffington.

Of course I find it terribly doubtful this charles johnson individual has ever been either.

Resentments bring out the worst in people - sounds like he really needs to take an inventory of some sort and maybe stop being so afraid of a higher power or a God at least of some sort. He comes off sounding like the intolerant fascist bigot in his ranting and those who have differing opinions than him.

Yep - I remember posts here from Little Green Footballs...years ago - then they stopped.

NEVER visited that website - for some reason was never really sold on whatever was posted here from there.

Now am very glad.

Does remind me of David Brock and the American Spectator.

Wonder if it’s the same issue.

Some folks are wound too tight to appreciate a little blunt talking. Much of the rest of the world riots and kill each other over differences of opinion, we on the other hand use humor. That is the problem with the left they talk about free speech but can’t handle it when people disagree and point out their idiocy.
