Rush just mentioned Huckabee pardoning this guy as a symptom of politicians caving to sympathetic protesters.
From what I’ve read about the Huckster regarding pardons/commutations of sentences, he did not need any protestors to move him to put more dangerous criminals back on the streets than all of the surrounding states combined.
He was on a *mission* to believe that many had been reformed/rehabilitated, and in the case of Clemmons the Huckster cited the age (17) at which many of the crimes had been committed as some kind of reason to put him back on the streets.
So far as I can tell from a distance, Huckabee did not need any protestors to cave in to on these issues.
