SEATTLE A suspect in the slaying of four police officers gunned down in a suburban coffee shop was holed up at a Seattle house early Monday, wounded and possibly dead, police said.
Negotiators were trying to communicate with Maurice Clemmons, 37, using loudspeakers and explosions to try to prod him from hiding. At one point, gunshots rang through the neighborhood, which is some 30 miles from the original crime scene.

wounded and possibly deadLet's keep working on that.

There would be so sort of “cosmic poetic justice” if he has been slowly bleeding to death from gun shot wounds he received from the last officer he chased into the parking lot...

At one point, gunshots rang through the neighborhood, which is some 30 miles from the original crime scene.
from King5.com article:
"We are no longer using the word person of interest, he is a suspect," Troyer said. "We do believe that he has been shot and he has a gunshot wound and it occured during the incident and that one of the Lakewood police officers managed to shoot him."
Troyer said they've detained some people who helped Clemmons. "It was a long trail to get here. We had different people and different people that have helped him and other vehicles that have been used and tracking it all down, this is where we (were) led and we have determined that he has in fact been shot and that he is, in fact, our suspect. We are not looking for anybody else, he is not a person of interest, he's our suspect."

Yes - the home was empty, but with evidence of him being there.
Was listening to the scanner today - lots of trails and witnesses but they didn’t find him. Lots of activity related to bloody bandages and blood trails - but those of course could be anyone’s. (Some were 8 miles apart). I imagine they will gather the evidence and get DNA, etc.
