You can be sure they won’t tell the whole story. The failures here are epic. OK, Huckabee made a questionable decision a decade or more ago. He has to live with that.
What about the judge who granted him bail six weeks ago. He’s a multiple felon, he’s already on parole, he’s arrested for raping a child, he punches a police officer in the face.
*Is there ANYTHING bad enough that liberal judges won’t give you bail in Washington?*
Where is the concern for the community? The rights of the accused are important, to a point. When you get a career criminal like this, a massively violent person where is the error on the side of the innocent?
It’s not really very different from the Mt. Hood shooter. He was able to basically rant and rave about the military and the authorities did nothing.
This isn’t a tragedy, it is an atrocity. And the atrocity has many accomplices. What should come out of both of these is a renewed insistence by ‘we the people’ that the coddeling of criminals, nutcases and probable Muslim terrorists end. That ‘the authorities’ do the job we pay them to. (I’m not talking about the police here, at all, but the judges and even publicly paid defense attorneys. Shame on them for helping bail this man out.)
Good post.
Amen brother!
Jack, it all boils down to this: “THIS COUNTRY IS eFFed!”
Earlier on the radio they said he was under the custody of the state or something very similar. Ok then.
Judges/attornies are ruining our nation. They keep churning these folks in the system so they can keep churning the bills.
The bail was a whole $150,000 or 10% of the amount, right?
For child rape !!!!!!!
It’s beyond an outrage. It’s incomprehensible.
I suspect some of this will turn out to be the result of the efforts to deprive judges of discretion in bail setting, as opposed to a misuse of discretion. In many states, bail schedules and “civil rights” groups make it difficult to crank up bail high enough to hold this kind of dude.
