Police surround Seattle home where person of interest in police shooting may be hiding A SWAT team and police negotiators surrounded a Leschi home in Seattle where the man sought for questioning in the Lakewood police shooting may be hiding. By Seattle Times staff A SWAT team and police negotiators surrounded a Leschi home in Seattle where the man sought for questioning in the Lakewood police shooting may be hiding. Police responded to the home at East Yesler Way and 32nd Avenue South where police stopped a woman who was leaving the home. She told them Maurice Clemmons was on the property and bleeding, according to a law enforcement source. The woman told police that someone had dropped Clemmons off at the home. The source also said police had received tips about two other properties they needed to search, in Queen Anne and Renton. At 8:44 p.m., Seattle police received information that the person of interest may be in a Leschi home, according to Seattle police spokesman Jeff Kappel. Police are now trying to confirm the identity of the person inside. Police blocked off the street at East Yesler and 30th Avenue South. Police are telling residents to stay indoors and keep their doors locked.

Its time for the local 11:00 news.
This is the same neighborhood where the 2 police officers were shot while sitting in their car.
Thanks for the live scanner link however I have not been able to get it working. Updates would be greatly appreciated.
Send the negotiators home, but leave the K-9's.
Then tell him to get his a$$ out the front door!
(There may be some colateral damage to the front door.)
KING 5 (.com) has this short blub. No streaming video, though.
PARKLAND, Wash. Seattle police cordoned off a section of Seattle’s Leschi neighborhood Sunday night, believing they had located the person of interest in the shooting deaths of four Lakewood, Wash. police officers.
Police cruisers surrounded streets in the neighborhood of 30th Avenue and Yesler Way in the search for Maurice Clemmons.
Thanks for the info. I thought that they must have moved to a secure freq because of the lack of chatter. Is Seattle a big enough city that a live camera crew might be dispatched by a news station?
The police had better be extra careful approaching that house.
Clemmons is extremely dangerous and a clever individual. Who knows if he has bombs set to go off or if he’s in a hidden area ready to fire upon the officers coming through the door?
I’m remembering the Pittsburgh oficers who were gunned down while approaching a suspect’s home about a year ago.
I’d say that murdering 4 cops could be called a hate crime.
If this guy IS the murderer, I hope he bleeds to death before medical assistance arrives.

Streaming King5. Expect lots of “dead air”. They don’t stream the commercials. Just hang tight, the news will be on afer a few minutes of black.
Seattle news stations don’t like cops.
Just shoot the Terrorist POS Scum.
They’re talking about medic attention needed on a Pearl Street.
Why am I not surprised?
That was a stupid question. I forgot about the time change. I was thinking it was 0200. Sorry.
Seattle metro area as 3.5 million residents. It is the 15th largest metro area in the USA. See my posting above for streaming media feed.
Negotiating a surrender.
Live news is still showing old clips.
But - the cops did find his GPS bracelet at his house in Tacoma!!!!!??????
My guess is that Mary Mapes of Rathergate infamy is a typical liberal POS for the Seattle news biz, especially TV.... I understand that she spent a good part of her career working for the CBS affiliate in Seattle before her “performance” as a doctrinaire PC liberal hack brought her to the national network.
It’s no stretch at all to suspect that most of the reporters and producers dealing with this story are more interested in looking for ways to slam the police than anything else..... though they may tread a lot more lightly due to the 4 police deaths this morning.... how many liberals will dare to show max. sympathy for the perp in this case? We’ll see.....
