Four police officers shot dead at Lakewood coffee shop [Washington State]

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department has reported that four police officers have been shot dead in an ambush at the Forza Coffee coffee shop at 11401 on South Steele Street in Lakewood Sunday morning.

Pierce County Sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer said investigators are immediately offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the suspect, and that number is expected to grow.

The shooter could have hoped to kill air force people being that the shop is adjacent to the base. Perhaps the shooter thought by walking into the shop he could just pick off air force people but when he didn’t see any he just chose to shoot the police.

. He also could have targeted the police....

This is so close to the base, literally accross the road from the airfield, it could have been Air Force Police, either civilian, or Sky Cops. Not likely though, 4 cars, or even 2, would probably have been all the cars on duty at that time. Base population is only 4100. Of course just down the road, and adjacent to McChord is Fort Lewis, which is a just a tad larger. :)

I can’t believe an American city has a statue of Lenin, (Seattle.) I wish someone would dump it in the sound. It is on private property. So the owners have created a moral conundrum: do principled conservatives violate his property rights to destroy an image, or do they support his property rights even though he is glorifying someone who is a mass murderer and did not respect property rights.

I live about 20 mins south of the location. There are no mosques here, it is a mixed area.
Lots and lots of military all over when you are out.
A few blocks in any direction can make a huge difference.
