hope that the backdrop – a storied scene on the Hudson – will engender an image of him as a strong and effective commander in chief”

Americans are not buying them empty, meaningless 0bama sound bites and images anymore.
I doubt if he is going to get any high TV ratings for his speech from West Point.
There is 0bama fatigue from too many TV appearances from the Narcissist in Chief.

MacArthur and Bush nailed it. I dread to hear what the lying obfuscating, cowardly current occupant of the WH says.

“in the hope that the backdrop – a storied scene on the Hudson – will engender an image of him as a strong and effective commander in chief.”

More stage management than anything else and the writer points it out. We already know he’s a failure as Commander in Chief and so do all the leaders of every other country. He’s pretty much a laughing stock and the backdrop of cadets isn’t going to help in that regard. Except for the photo op of course. Because, as he said, “you guys make for a good photo op”.

He will NEVER be seen as a strong and effective Commander in Chief -- no matter what he does. He had his shot and blew it with his weak indecision and his apology tours. Also, it is not possible for someone who previously was anti-war and anti-military to be seen as a strong leader. He is a weak so-called president who has done nothing but apologize for this once great country. I don't care what "backdrop" he uses for his "photo-op" with the military, obama will never fill the shoes of a Commander-in-Chief.

The bottom line is this...

Everything he will say, will mean absolutely nothing...There is no truth, substance or soul that words that he utters will ever inspire, or drive people to achieve or do anything constructive...

Using this place as a backdrop is insulting to every person that has ever put on the uniform to take up the responsibility and to sacrifice to serve this country...

But then again, most people on this website know this already...

What an incredible embarrassment to McArther to have this two bit man-child FRAUD mentioned in the same sentence. Obama is not worthy to even lick dog crap from the bottom of McArther’s shoe.

” and be received enthusiastically”?
Wanna bet?
I’d bet the farm the cadets sit on their hands cept for the twelve that voted for the marxist p.o.s.
Love to see them all stand and turn their backs on the scum magic negro.

I've heard that part of Mac's speech a hundred times. Our CG at Ft Dix loved it and the post band had a baritone E-5 who would recite it to muted Battle Hymm of the Republic at post functions (seems they were weekly events).

Still raises the hair on the back of my neck to hear or read them.

Too bad it is in a foreign language to Zero and Libs.....

President George W. Bush describing Pres_ _ent Obama’s Commissar Administration.

… our enemies are totalitarians, holding a creed of power with no place for human dignity.
Now, as then, they seek to impose a joyless conformity, to control every life and all of life.

Why must this fraud go around tarnishing various symbols most hold dear? It is probably just a continuation of the reverse-Midas touch that these marxist types have (everything he touches turns to...).

I’m quite sure Bill Ayers will have drafted an appropriate script to be read from the teleprompter by the empty suit who sat all those years in Jeremiah Wright’s congregation.

I wonder if he’ll be reminding the cadets to ensure to obtain court issued search warrants and to Mirandize enemy on the battlefield before taking them to the judge for arraignment.
