OH BS! There are NO native Americans...we are all produced by the immigration from Europe and Eurasia...

And the majority of millions and millions of ‘first Americans’ were killed off by germs brought here be the explorers and their horses, because ‘first American’ women were genetically flawed from there being no substitution for mother’s milk and they nursed their babies for years, depleting their immune systems.

They seemed to be heathens because they had no knowledge of Jesus Christ because they came here before he manifested himself into a human and came back to earth to deliver his laws. They only knew paganism from their Eurasian Hun ancestors. That’s no excuse, but it is part of reality. It’s what happens when any human societies get into a disagreement over material ‘things.’ The ironic part is that Manifest Destiny did not come to the US until after our founding fathers, through immigration of the descendants of the their very Hun ancestors.

This debacle is just more ObaMao pandering to victimize a group of Americans so he can exploit them. There hasn’t been a ‘native American’ harmed in a hundred years here, just like there hasn’t be a slave.

Did the romans ever apologize for conquering? And do other Europeans hate them for it? NO, it’s a total waste of time in today’s world.

I despise this kind of phony navel-gazing guilt which, in essence, says: PLEASE FORGIVE US FOR EXISTING.

I bet these people are not motivated by guilt at all. They are motivated by their desire to feel EVER so good about themselves. Self-satisfaction. Smugness. Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode with Babu and the Dream Cafe. Jerry gives Babu advice about the Dream Cafe. Babu happily accepts Jerry's advice. Then Jerry thinks out loud:

I AM such a great guy. Who else would've gone through the trouble of helping this poor immigrant? I am special. My mother was right. Of course I've never had Pakistani food. How bad it could be?

Things don't go so well for Babu, it turns out.

I love the way Diana Gabaldon handled this in her Outlander series when Claire thinks the British would have been kinder to the Indians had they won the Revolutionary war. Jamie reminds Claire of Culloden and the way the Scottish clans were wiped out by the English. It was the most non-PC thing I’ve read in ages concerning the Indians.

These people and their apologies. I saw the sense in it when the Pope apologized to the Jews, but this is just nonsense.

This is another liberal feel good apology. It is the height of arrogance to apologize for things in which you are not personally involved. It is a way of saying, “Look how morally superior and enlightened than I am than those immoral and sinful people back then. If you could resurrect those members that lived back then, they would probably say, “Hell no! I ain't sorry.” Liberalism, in all its forms, it a mental disorder.

Lucky for us there are no Neanderthals around to apologize to for killing them off and probably eating them.

Doesn’t bother me, I’m not a Protestant.

As a Protestant they can count me out of the collective guiltfest. They have no more right to apologize for me than they do to assume I was somehow an active and willing participant in whatever the hell they are apologizing for.

What is the point? Who cares and why does it matter? What is the desired objective?

Damn. Damn. Damn.

I apologize to the animal kingdom for liking my steak so rare it will moo.

Whoever wrote that headline had hierarchy brainlock.

It’s one fairly obscure denomination in New York City, succumbing to PC. I’ve heard of Dutch Reformed, had ancestors from Pennsylvania who belonged to that church in the early 1700’s. But, I’ve never heard of the Collegiate church, and I’ve been “Protestant” all my life.

Far more of my ancestry were Moravian, Protestant as well. Persecuted themselves, in German-speaking lands, forced into hiding on the estate of a sympathetic Count, von Zinnzindorf. In NC and GA, they built numerous missions to the Cherokee, fought their removal, and when that was lost, accompanied them, tried to aid them on the Trail Of Tears, and had an advance party set up a new misson in Oklahoma, to minister to them upon arrival.

And, I’ve got some amount of native ancestry as well, myself. It’s dehumanizing and dishonest to say anything other than that they gave as good as they got. Centuries ago, people from another land invaded and took over, just as they did themselves, centuries before that. It’s the way of the world. Get over it already. This nation has bent over backwards trying to make amends and accomodate. Be thankful. Shut up already, imho, of course.

This is “apology” is just sheer, namby-pamby, feel good capitulation to the groupthink that will eventually destroy our country.
