I think there should be a 10 year moratorium on all public utterances by “scientists”... give us time to digest all those emails.

When I was sixteen and recently licensed to drive, my uncle talked my mother into sending me to his place, 20 miles up the road and three mufflers to the ‘farm’ up the holler about this time of year.

There was a fence to be built with my cousins; complete with postholes, poles and rails and I was no Abe Lincoln.

The first day could just as easily been measured in hours or blisters and by evening, white fingers and numb toes.

Five holes got dug and a big fire was built in the lone fireplace downstairs just outside the room with a view (gaps in the clapboard, all weathered and bare).

Somewhere around midnight, two fat and quite lazy cats wandered off as we conscripts all bundled together, a trundle, a sight in the room off the hearth, and shared in some measure a threadbare quilt of pre carbon-dating origin and a dismal future.

Arising, first stealthily and then quite miasmically, around three in the morning two things became most mightily manifest:

The fire had gone cold, the hearth was still and the cats were still trapped — under our bed.

As global warming is my witness, I shall never have a cat in my house again; and if Hell freezes over, I’ll stoke the first fire.

I’m not saying all.... But lots of these global warming scientists are really hippies who are awful at statistics and math. Look at Keith Briffa and Micheal Mann....both are hippie looking. Briffa is the tree ring scam artist and Mann authored the infamous hockey stick

Steven McIntyre is a high levels mathematician. Done work at MIT etc. He was able to home in immediately on the lazy deceitful math and statistics involved. Where underlying source data is shoehorned into global warming templates and theories

There's lots of pretty pictures in "The Copenhagen Diagnosis of Doom." So at least we get something in return for the destruction of our economy and our children's future.

Oh, and a hide-the-decline hockey stick on Page 52!

And that cooling we all feel? It isn't happening, because the IPCC says so. The folks at CRU needn't have fretted about it, after all. /sarc
